Amenities

If you are looking for that authentic casual country rustic style wedding, vow renewal or other event, Stoneyman Valley Ranch is your destination location. It is located in the Shenandoah Valley in the heart of the Virginia farmland just a few miles east of historic Luray Virginia. The ranch itself, established pre-civil war in the early 1800s, is a working Black Angus farm consisting of 83 acres of pristine pasture, hay fields and rich woodlands with springs, ponds and bluffs reaching 200 feet in elevation.

Enjoy any of the 4 seasons for your Event from the waving  grasslands to the views of the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains during our many comfortable weather days.  No need to worry  about the weather at Stoneyman Valley Ranch. During inclement weather use the event barn providing the same views without weather worries. The event barn is a newly constructed “rustic and chandelier” 2000 sq ft event barn which comfortably seats 200 attendees with air conditioning and heat and has a picture window facing Stoneyman Mountain Outlook on Skyline drive.

The event barn has all the essential amenities you are looking for – a large event room, optional dance floor, dedicated areas for a bar and food preparation, a coat closet and modern Men’s and Women’s restrooms.  Crucial to any venue is the Bride’s Room with her own restroom and loft for a groom’s “chill” area with foosball and air hockey.  Several picture perfect outdoor backdrops available –  the pond, the hills, the mountains, the Ford F-100 truck, historic barn loft or Event barn loft with expansive view.

Because we are a working cattle ranch, most events are on the weekends. Visits are scheduled Monday-Thursday 8AM-8PM and Friday 8AM-Noon to meet the availability of our clients.  Please plan on at least 2 hours for your visit so you can see all the amenities.

The surrounding area of Luray offers many outdoor adventures while enjoying the natural beauty of the surrounding agricultural environment.  Guests can go horseback riding; canoe the Shenandoah; hike the Appalachian Trail in the Shenandoah National Park; or “Discover the Caverns” at Luray Caverns.
